Introduction:

ProjectEdit is a ready-to-run client/server-based DLL. This component is a companion product to ProjectDisplay The DLL is accompanied by an ASP file, a data file, and a style sheet.

The data file for the component ProjectDisplay is a three-dimensional array, reflecting the levels of Project. Task and Resource.

For many people, a manual edit of data file array will be sufficient to maintain the project data they wish to report. For others who wish to maintain their data on-line, the data will need to be imported into a form which accommodates the data structure.

The purpose of ProjectEdit is to provide the on-line solution. This component creates a form in the structure matching the data file, reads any data found into the form, and allows the user to add edit or delete data from the array.

By using this component, all the array structure is hidden from the user.

All data is output as a formatted HTML table. Use of HTML means there are no ActiveX components required for download.

A style sheet is available which allows setting the appearance of the form buttons and text fonts.
